Course Description:

This course will develop awareness and extend your ability to work with young people affected by extra familial risk.

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course you will have:

— Increase awareness of the experiences of young people affected by extra familial risk (CSE/ CCE/ Trafficking/Missing)
— Explore multiple vulnerabilities and how they interlink with modern day slavery, serious youth violence and domestic abuse
— Identify vulnerabilities, behaviour and risk indicators for young people experiencing or at risk of extra familial risk
— Recognise opportunities for early intervention and ways of working with young people and how to disrupt exploitation
— Look at professional responses and approaches and identifying Camden resources, policies and risk assessments
— Building protective relationships and resilience
— Increase awareness of reaching out to other groups: boys and young men/refugee and asylum seekers, BME groups

Target Audience:

This event is suitable for professionals in all Working Together Groups and meets the requirements of Level 3 of the Intercollegiate Document.
